Baltic Blossoms Lace Shawl #V802
I continue to be inspired by the Estonian lace in Leili Reimann's Pitsilised Koekirjad, and this triangular stockinette stitch shawl has an edging adapted from that book. The shawl is knit from the top down and starts with an easy petal lace that repeats every 8 rows. Nupps give an interesting texture to the lily of the valley border, and double yarn-overs are used to shape the edging. These lovely lace patterns remind me of a garden in full bloom.
Instructions include two sizes. Size 1 yarn amounts and dimensions shown in chart for lace, fingering, and Shetland/sport/DK weight yarns. For larger size, see Size 2 Information below.
Pattern includes both written instructions and charts.
