Happy Trails Lace Scarf #C733
This is the third and last design inspired by the buffalo and their fiber. It has a version of the bison tracks laceoriginally used on the Heartland Lace Shawland was designed for those who prefer rectangles to triangles.
Inside a grass border, heart-shaped hoof prints of the buffalo alternate with small diamonds on this reversible garter stitch lace scarf.
Since the lace repeats over 12 stitches, the scarf can be made narrower or wider. It can be started with a regular cast-on, or a provisional cast-on can be used to match regular or picot cast-off ends.
This lace is more challenging to knit since it repeats over 38 rows. It looks great in lace, fingering, and Shetland/sport/DK weight yarns. The scarf can be knit in a variety of fibers, including buffalo, to warm your travels and make every trail a happy one.
