Hyacinth Lace Shawl #V711
Hyacinths are one of my favorite symbols of spring, so I was delighted to discover a lace that reminds me of these colorful flowers. On this triangular shawl, the hyacinth lace flows into an optional ripple border and ends with a scalloped edging. Beads can be added at the edging, and the lace can be worked in stockinette or garter stitch.
The shawl is knit from the neck down, and the border can be started after any 10-row repeat, making it easy to customize the size. This design looks great in semi-solid or solid colors, and it can be knit in lace, fingering, Shetland/sport/DK, or worsted weight yarns. With so many choices, it is easy to create a hyacinth garden of your very own.
Pattern includes both written instructions and charts.
